The legendary 1960s 2+2 seater ‘Pony Car’ was developed by Ford Executive ‘Lee Lacocca’ with three different body styles available including a two-door coupe, a convertible and a more sporty fastback model. Mustangs could be ordered with either straight 6-cylinder engines or the more powerful V8 and were available with manual or automatic transmissions.
