The DB9 Coupe is a timelessly designed ‘Grand Tourer’ with all the luxury and refinement you’d hope for in an Aston Martin. A road legal car, which in competition was good enough to claim outright GT honours at Le Mans with (until recently) the AM11 engine is the most powerful in the DB9’s history. The engine is a masterpiece of smooth, sonorous and sophisticated (the same as in the Aston Martin Vanquish) it’s a yowling 6 litre V12 soundtrack that roars and rumbles and crackles! The automatic gearbox can be switched seamlessly into manual mode with ‘Touchtronic’ carbon fibre paddles for more control and driver focus. Press the SPORT button and everything tightens up and the revs open up and all hell breaks loose via the active exhaust system which sounds like a pack of feral dogs truffle hunting in a forest!
