About this Vehicle

“Monty” is our fully restored 1 Tonne Land Rover 101 (Forward Control). Monty started life in 1975 in the Military and was attached to The Royal Marines in Devon and used as a troop and supplies carrier. Following release from MOD stock, Monty eventually found a new home in Colchester which is where we purchased him from in January 2022. We have always harboured a vision to create a Land Rover Hearse which would appeal to Land Rover enthusiasts and former Military personnel alike and so immediately following that long drive back to Birmingham Monty was despatched to specialist Land Rover engineers for a complete nut and bolt restoration and transformation into a Hearse. Now sympathetically restored and finished in beautiful Bronze Green gloss paintwork and complete with a bespoke coffin deck, classic panel side windows, glass roof, LED lighting, TV (to display photos or a Regimental Badge) as well as a sound system (paging away to music is probably a first), Monty is ready, able and wi
